Fudge Fund
Kit loan and subsidies
We believe that you should not be prevented from exploring outdoors due to money, so we created the Fudge Fund to try and make Breakaway as accessible as possible!

The fund has two main purposes:

To subsidise trips for all members and to provide further subsidies based on need.

To provide free kit rental to those who don’t have access to outdoor gear
This fund is very new, so we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfil everything, however please get in touch if you have any questions. We will always try our best to assist all of our members with whatever they need to get outdoors.

Kit Loan
If there is kit on the required kit list that you don’t have access to, you can fill out the form below. Please ensure you have filled out the form a week prior to the trip.
(Please bear in mind that we don’t have all sizes in everything as we are hoping to build this store of kit over time, and at this time we are also unable to provide hiking boots).

Donations
If you are interested in contributing to the Fudge Fund to help others get outside then please donate using the link below. Any contribution is very welcome no matter how small!
If you have old gear or kit that isn't getting used as much as it should we would greatly receive kit donations too, please email us at breakaway@st-andrews.ac.uk to let us know what you have.
